How to Appreciate Insects

Insects are completely misunderstood and underappreciated. Their influence on todays world and culture are still hugely overshadowed by mankinds fear towards the crawly creatures. 

In this project I try to shine a light on this “problem” by creating an artistic and immersive VR experience.

the first steps consist of me finding a virtual-visual language to portray insects in a more tangible and “human” way. And finding out the best medium in which to tell their story and convey it’s importance.

by sculpting/drawing insects in virtual reality . I wanted to create the same sense of wonder you would get when looking at a macro photo of an insect.
















Another import was doing research on insects that have (had) a profound positive influence on our planet and how we can make

A VR experience where you explore the life that can be found in an ordinary home if you were the size of an ant.
